Statutory guidance on multi-agency working to help, protect and promote the welfare of children.
The Department for Education (DfE) published the 2023 edition of Working together to safeguard children. This statutory guidance outlines obligations and recommended actions for organisations and agencies who have functions relating to children.
Alongside the Working together statutory guidance, the Government published the following:
- updated Working together statutory framework outlining the legislation relevant to safeguarding
- Children's social care national framework outlining expecatations for senio leaders, practice supervisors and practitioners in local authorities
- guidance on Improving practice with children, young people and families, which sets out advice for local areas on embedding the Working together guidance and the Children's social care national framework in practice
